ZK-Rollups are the building blocks for the next wave of web3. Get in early.

Build on Polygon zkEVM with the full power of Alchemy infrastructure.
For those just tuning in, here’s why we love zkEVM
Polygon zkEVM is revolutionary technology
Polygon zkEVM means web3 developers get:
EVM equivalence
Any Ethereum L1 or L2 developer can simply copy and paste their Solidity code and deploy on zkEVM.
This enables sustained access to:
The security benefits of the decentralized Proof-of-Stake (PoS) chain
The composability that comes from building within the world’s largest smart contract ecosystem
Scalability
ZK-Rollups, using zero-knowledge cryptography to outsource computation off the Ethereum L1 chain, exponentially improve Ethereum’s throughput.
This gets the web3 ecosystem closer to solving the blockchain trilemma:
The perennial trade off between security, decentralization and scalability.
Low cost
Instead of having to verify each full L2 transaction on the L1 chain, ZK proofs enable posting only the state changes back to the L1.
This requires significantly less data, reducing the computational cost required to verify a block’s transactions.

I have 3 main questions:
1. Do I need to re-deploy smart contracts to the ZK-roll up network?
2. How do I pay for transactions, in Polygon?
3. Is there some native way to bridge assets or will we have to create manual bridges as well?
I like the innovation, but how do we avoid developer drag from always switching out the base layer of our apps?
